What is CGEIT?
Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) is a professional qualification from ISACA® designed for IT professionals who direct, manage, provide advisory and assurance services and who otherwise support the governance of an enterprise’s IT and wish to be recognised for their IT governance-related experience and knowledge.
CGEIT was introduced in 2007 and is built on intellectual property from ISACA® and the IT Governance Institute (ITGITM) with input from subject matter experts. Nearly 7000 senior IT professionals in the world currently hold CGEIT and in 2010, 750 candidates globally sat the exam.
ISACA® with more than 140,000 members in 200 countries is a recognised global leader in IT governance, IT audit, IT information security and IT risk.
CGEIT exams are public exams of 150 multiple choice questions in a 4 hour examination. Exams are held twice yearly in June and December. In 2016, CGEIT exams are on Saturday 11 June 2016 and Saturday 10 December 2016. Exams are held around the world (e.g. central London). Read ISACA’s guide to the CGEIT qualification here.
