What is CGEIT?

Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) is a professional qualification from ISACA® designed for IT professionals who direct, manage, provide advisory and assurance services and who otherwise support the governance of an enterprise’s IT and wish to be recognised for their IT governance-related experience and knowledge.

CGEIT

CGEIT was introduced in 2007 and is built on intellectual property from ISACA® and the IT Governance Institute (ITGITM) with input from subject matter experts. Current CGEITs hold positions of C-level executive, senior IT manager and senior IT consultant.  Nearly 7000 senior IT professionals in the world currently hold CGEIT and in 2010, 750 candidates globally sat the exam.

ISACA® with more than 140,000 members in 200 countries is a recognised global leader in IT governance, IT audit, IT information security and IT risk.

CGEIT Exam
CGEIT exams from 2017 are online exams of 150 multiple choice questions in a 4 hour examination. There are no longer any public exams on a fixed date as was the case previously. Exams are held three times yearly and can be taken somewhere in your country on many days within the period 1 May - 30 Jun; 1 Aug - 30 Sep and 1 Nov - 31 December. Each person selects a venue that runs these online exams and must book in advance and attend that venue to take the online exam. Most major cities in the world are included.
